Dr. Kai Jonas (born 1972) is an Assistant Professor in Social Psychology at the University of Amsterdam (and from 01. September 2016 Associate Professor at Maastricht University).
Additionally, he is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Among other topics, his applied research focuses on LGBT identity and discrimination as well as health issues such as Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis.
In The Netherlands, he manages the Amsterdam Pink Panel, a psycho-social research and policy panel on LGBT themes in a collaboration with the COC Amsterdam.
Kai will speak on Wednesday afternoon, August 3rd, with his colleague Allard Feddes on ‘Perceived obstacles in reporting LGBT related hate crimes’ and ‘How to construct a well-functioning LGBT police network?’
